How big is the storage area?
The storage section is typically 1–1.5m deep across the full width of the structure — giving you a generous area that comfortably fits bikes, a lawnmower, garden tools, outdoor furniture, and seasonal storage. The exact depth is agreed at the design stage based on your overall room width and how you plan to use the space.
Does the storage area have electrics?
Yes — the storage section is on the same electrical installation as the main room. A light fitting and a socket are included in the storage area as standard, so you can actually see what you're doing and charge power tools. The consumer unit serves both areas.
What can be stored in the storage area?
The storage section is fully weatherproof and secure — it's part of the same SIPs structure as the room. Common uses include: bikes and e-bikes, lawnmower, garden power tools, outdoor furniture covers, ski gear and winter sports equipment, golf clubs, seasonal decorations and general overflow. Because it's enclosed within the main structure, it's more secure and weatherproof than any standalone shed.
