We include fully plastered interior walls, skimmed ceilings, fitted flooring and skirting boards on every build. The room is handed over ready to paint.
Plastering
Our plasterer finishes all internal walls and ceilings with a smooth skim coat — the same standard as you'd expect in a house extension. We don't use dry lining as a substitute: every room gets wet plaster finish. The walls are smooth, flat and ready for paint as soon as the plaster has dried (typically 2–4 weeks after handover, depending on ventilation and weather).
Skirting Boards
White MDF skirting boards are fitted as standard around the full perimeter of the room. They cover the junction between floor and wall and give the space the finished look of a proper room rather than a converted outbuilding.
Door Architraves
Architrave is fitted around internal doors as standard, completing the joinery finish. Everything is primed and ready to paint. We don't fit window sills — our window installations don't require them.
Painting & Decorating
Painting is not included as standard — we hand the room over ready to paint and most customers prefer to choose their own colours once the plaster has fully dried. If you'd rather not do it yourself, we can recommend a trusted decorator, coordinate their visit and book them in around the build schedule. Just let us know.
Furniture & Soft Furnishings
Furniture and fittings are outside the scope of our build. We'll discuss furniture positioning when planning socket and lighting locations — getting this right at the planning stage means everything is in the right place from day one.
Interior Colour Advice
Garden rooms benefit from lighter, neutral colours that reflect natural light — especially important in smaller builds. White or off-white (eg. Farrow & Ball All White, Little Greene Loft White) is a popular choice. We're happy to discuss what's worked well in similar-sized rooms during your site visit.
