Ollie wanted a proper home office separate from the house — quiet, comfortable, and usable every day — with somewhere to put garden equipment alongside. A single structure had to serve both purposes without either getting in the way of the other.
This cedar garden office in Farnham is a classic build done well. Office space and storage in one footprint: the office opens through three-panel bifold doors onto a full-width composite deck, the storage room sits alongside with its own separate door.
Western Red Cedar runs across the full exterior, with matching cedar tongue-and-groove boards lining the canopy soffit — the deep overhang along the front that gives the building its character and creates a sheltered outdoor zone between the doors and the deck.
